Thrills, Tyres & Track Toys: Our Private Track Day at Llandow Circuit

Thrills, Tyres & Track Toys: Our Private Track Day at Llandow Circuit

Last weekend, we headed down to South Wales for an unforgettable private track day at Llandow Circuit —a hidden gem known for its tight technical corners and fast-flowing layout. It was the perfect playground for our members to push their machines and skills to the limit in a relaxed, high-octane environment.

Morning Sessions: Three Groups, One Goal – Maximum Laps

The day kicked off with the morning sessions divided into **three groups of seven cars**, giving everyone ample time to learn the track and warm up. The mix of machinery on display was as varied as it was impressive—from daily-driven sports saloons to full-blown track weapons.

Joe’s Tyre Tragedy & Comeback

Joe showed up in his ever-impressive Mercedes A45s, making light work of the Llandow layout—until his front tyres cried enough. Completely trashed after some seriously committed laps, it looked like Joe’s day might be over. But in true never-lift spirit, he managed to track down a local tyre shop, got a fresh set fitted, and was back out lapping hard in the afternoon. Proper commitment.

Track Builds Show Their Strength

The more track-focused builds really came into their own. The Ventrax BMW M4 and the Status E92 M3 were planted, composed, and relentless all day. Both cars showed exactly what a well-set-up chassis and proper prep can do—lapping consistently and trouble-free from start

to finish.

GT3 Doing GT3 Things

And of course,Dom’s Porsche 992 GT3 lived up to its legendary name. Screaming down the straights and devouring corners with clinical precision, it was a standout all day. Whether chasing down traffic or carving up clean laps, Dom and the GT3 were firmly in their element.

Birthday Cake & Midday Vibes

Midday brought a welcome break—and a bit of a celebration too. It had been Jack’s birthday just a couple days before, so Zita came armed with a huge cake, which was shared around with everyone (including the marshals). A proper community moment and some much-needed sugar for the afternoon push!

Rallycross Royalty at Llandow

We also had a bit of a surprise guest: Liam Doran, Monster Energy Rallycross driver, turned up to support his cousin Jake, who was getting to grips with his manual E92 M3. With Liam offering some coaching and tips throughout the day, Jake made noticeable progress, and it was seriously cool having that level of experience in the paddock.

Big thanks to everyone who made the day what it was. From tyre dramas to birthday cake, guest appearances to full-send heroics, it was one of those days that reminds us exactly why we do this.

See you at the next one.
